The people behind the book
Two friends, one photographer, and a table set for company
Marcie Stokman, M.A.
Author
Founder and president of Well-Read Mom, an international movement and book club. A former clinical nurse specialist in mental health and a longtime homeschooler, she writes and speaks to encourage women and share the power of reading, friendship, and family life. She and her husband, Peter, have seven children and twenty-four grandchildren.
Margherita Vezzani
Author
Born in Italy, where she earned her medical degree and license as an ENT physician. After moving to the United States with her husband and five children, she discovered a new calling: creating spaces for presence, connection, and hospitality. She is the founder of Barefoot Home, a brand of table linens made from natural and organic fabrics, printed in Italy and crafted for hospitality.
Margaret Nelson
Photographer
A Minnesota-based photographer, a lover of the light and the way it interacts with reality. She hopes to take images that capture the life of the moment. Margaret and her husband, Bowdrie, live in Deerwood, Minnesota, with their three children. More of her work is at refractedlightphotography.com.
