Awakening

Age Range: 8 and up

Ronni is a modern-day American teenage girl in mourning. Her father and her brother died saving the life of someone she doesn't feel was worthy. She struggles with the concept of sacrifice-even Jesus' death on the cross, believing that "nothing's worth dying for."

When she takes ill, she awakens in a place 5,000 miles away from home...2,000 years in the past. How she got there, she doesn't know, but she is in Jerusalem the week of the crucifixion of Jesus. She knows what no one else does: Jesus will be arrested and killed. She has three days to try to stop his death. The questions are... can she do it? Should she?
